Dianna Agron the sea siren wears a miniature boat in her hair and wraps up in a sheet in nautical shoot for her style blog

She plays a high school cheerleader on the hit television show Glee.

But Dianna Agron plays a gamine of a different sort in a new shoot featured on her blog.

The 26-year-old actress channeled an ocean nymph covered in just a sheet with a ship perched atop her head in a maritime-themed shoot posted to her blog You, Me And Charlie last week.

The actress looked fresh-faced and ethereal in the pictures, which were shot at her blog editor Claire Oring's Los Angeles' apartment as well as in a bed and breakfast in Pasadena.

Dianna's blonde hair is styled in an intricate updo, dotted with white seashells and streaked with violet. The piece de resistance, however, is a small model ship positioned on top of the star's head.

'I’m thrilled to finally share my maritime muses with you,' wrote editor Oring. 'These nautical up-dos illustrate the French phrase ‘a la mode’, which means to be in fashion and also with a scoop on top!'

Dianna's complexion is glowing, highlighted with a smoky eye and rosy pink lips.
The blonde beauty is shown reclining on a velvet chaise lounge during the shoot, alone as well as with two other models, who are dressed in the same get-up as the actress.

The shoot is accompanied by a behind-the-scenes video, giving fans a peek at the making of the ocean-themed shoot.
The camera opens on a table covered in hairspray bottles, hair clips, a purple wig and three model ships, before resting on a collection of vintage cameras.

Dianna is then show lying back on the velvet bench, covered in only a light pink sheet. She bears a dreamy, demure expression as she looks at the camera, before shutting her eyes and giggling.

In another shot, the pretty actress is shown smiling and chatting as she gets her highlighted blonde hair styled prior to the shoot. A platter of raw vegetable crudites and a bottle of water can be seen on the table beside her, no doubt the slender star's healthy snack of choice during filming.

Dianna was clearly in a playful mood while being photrographed. At one point, she squints her eyes while donning Harry Potter-inspired black-rimmed spectacles that magnify her hazel peepers.
Later, the blonde is seen daintily blowing into a wooden pan flute, frowning as she manages to only play a few notes before bursting out laughing.

The video is accompanied by haunting music composed by Alexandre Desplat, a French music composer behind the scores for this year's Oscar-nominated films Zero Dark Thirty and Argo.

Dianna created her blog You, Me & Charlie as a way for her and her fans to share their creative inspirations. As for where the name Charlie comes from, the actress writes on the blog that she 'never really felt like a Dianna.'
'I suppose that is because my friends and family all call me Di, babe, kitty, lamb, all those special nicknames that only your loved ones could possibly coin,' she writes, 'I didn’t realize it at first, but it seems as if I had taken a liking to the name Charlie for longer than I can remember!'
